All Wildfarmed growers follow five regenerative principles to build soil and plant health.

Limiting soil disturbance (both mechanical tilling and chemical inputs)
Maintaining year-round soil cover (through cover and companion crops)
Promoting plant diversity (Plant species richness and grazing animals where possible)
Keeping living roots in the soil (Optimising photosynthesis)
Nutrition Based on Need (Using plant analysis to determine nutritional inputs)

Regenerative Agriculture is a word used to describe many different systems - and so in 2023 we drew up the UK’s first arable regenerative farming standards so that our customers knew what our definition of Regenerative meant for us and our farmers.

With our community of growers and research partners, we constantly endeavour to evolve best practices in line with the best available evidence, a process that, for our co-founder Andy Cato, began 17 years ago.
